This show will be a must for those people wanting something a little different. We will be looking for some audience participation at certain times during the show. Date August 19th 2007 "Mayors Command Variety Concert Performance" Presented by Bruce Gleeson and to be at the Laidley Cultural Centre, Laidley. Many new local acts and it has become a must see on the local communities calender. Each year monies raised from this event go to a local charity. So it is a community effort by all. Date 29th October 2006 "Sound of Music" Workshop run by M/S Liz Quinn and her group of professionals on behalf of the Laidley Performing Arts. All welcome to this four hour workshop we are wanting people aged 5years upwards to fill positions in this wonderful play. Starting time 1 P.M. sharp at the Uniting Church hall, Patrick St Laidley. We will have a Musical Director and Choreographer in attendance.  This workshop will cover most aspects of the musical and give all attending an insight into what our Director is looking for in the casting of the production.  So therefore this also will be an audition session and most,if not all, of the cast will be selected on the day.

DATE 5TH NOVEMBER 2006.  This date is a continuance of 29th October when we conducted our workshop and audtition day.  We were extremely happy with the attendance and enthusiasm of the attendees and we have selected the majority of the cast. 14th January 2007. "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe". This is the date set for the auditions for this play.
